Well, we have addressed our morning with Lakshmi Voelker Chair (bed top ) yoga and continued to love ourselves with homemade nut butter granola. Now onto our afternoon.
Let us steam a bunch of green veggies and put them through the blender to create a nice semi thick broth. This along with a big glass of veggie juice with some protein powder added will take real good care of our Body/mind and Spirit. I like to use Vital Proteins collagen peptides. You can add a piece of whole grain toast or some crackers and cheese to round out your meal if you choose.
Allow the above divine lunch to settle in and to do its magic,
Now onto an afternoon practice. Grab your chair with your Matvibe (www.matvibes.com) chair yoga mat upon it and begin to come into the Sitting Mountain asana. With all your body parts aligned properly near the edge of the chair.
Get comfortable and close your eyes or find a spot in the front of you to lightly focus on.
Begin to breathe the deep throated breath Ujjayi and repeat the mantra HamSa (I AM that, that I AM) Inhale to Ham and exhale through the nose to Sa. Simply follow your personal slow breath pattern until the mantra disappears and you are just sitting in the peace of your breath – the link between body and Soul.
Set a timer and turn off all devices and put a Do Not Disturb sign on your door.
Start light with 1 or 2 minutes of meditation and increase to 5 minutes when it feels right. Now this can take anywhere from a week to a couple of months. After finding your safe place see if you can increase a minute a week or month. Do not make this a chore. Make it the Love of Your Life!
