It is now evening, and supper is finished, and the last dish is put away. It is now time to finish the days chores followed by some down time for me.
I brew a cup of Sleepy Time Tea and sit with my favorite cup in hand and just relax.
After I finish my tea, I will go to my MatVibes chair yoga mat and just stretch all over and around my chair. Feels so good to wind down and breathe and move the way my body wants to not my mind dictating the movements. This trusting my bodies wisdom is called in Yoga Pratyahara-tuning into my senses and my surroundings. As my body slowly moves on the chair my focus and my breath become deeper. I twist, I turn, I fold forward and backward then turning side to side. I find myself surrendering and trusting my body and the process of its unwinding. After some sweet moves I feel the chair yoga and the sleepy time tea taking their effect.
I wrap up the day and head to bed feeling accomplished, peaceful, and quite content with some chair yoga “under my belt” so to speak.
I sit on the edge of my bed and do the 8 essential spinal movements and crawl under the covers for a night of sweet dreams and sleep. Good Night!
