Waking Up with Chair Yoga

Waking up!

Yawn! Ahh! Stretch! Ummm! Lying on your bed stretch in all directions! Arms, legs, back, feet, hands, and face.

Turn to your side and place your feet on the floor sitting on the side of your bed in Seated Tadasana!

Wiggle your toes and stretch your arms over your head. Let out another yawn with a deep sigh! Sighs are good for the heart!

Start the Ujjayi warming breath as you expand and contract your chest a few times. Now twist side to side and open your lungs to this new day! Sway to the sides and pronounce a deep YES! 

Stretch your legs out in front of you with feet on the floor and forward fold over your outstretched legs. Sit back up and do another forward fold. Now cross at the ankles and forward fold down again. Repeat on the other side.

Sit up as tall as you can in Sitting Mountain with a divine smile on your face.

Begin the Sitali or alternate nostril breath and cool down with a 5-minute meditation.

Take a slow meditative walk to the kitchen and start your day with a glass of room temperature water and carry on into Bliss.

Remember to apply Matrika Shakti and SatChitAnanda throughout your day!
